It’s tax time again, and again, you need to decide who will prepare your taxes. This isn’t a decision to take lightly as the wrong choice can easily cost you thousands of dollars.
Do you do it yourself? With or without a software package? Use an online service? A national tax return franchise such as H&R Block? An individual local tax professional such as an EA or CPA?
Last year I posted a blog examining each of these choices and explaining how to determine which approach is likely to be the best one for you. Although the tax laws did change a little from 2011 to 2012, the advice in that blog still holds true.
